DESIGNED FOR FIVE-STAR STAYS

DESIGNED FOR FIVE-STAR STAYS

A brown star-shaped cookie cutter.

At House of Ellie Interiors, short-term rental interior design is the focus of everything I do. Every project is tailored to the property, location and market, but the approach remains the same: intentional design, thoughtful details, and guest-first thinking.

DESIGN CASE STUDY

SUNSET SALOON PROJECT

When I first walked into this Riverside home, I could see the potential instantly. The previous design felt flat, the layout was not guest-friendly, and the listing wasn’t showing off the home’s character. For the design direction, I wanted a theme that would complement the existing finishes, so I landed on a modern western chic look that suits the Austin, Texas market.

Every choice in the redesign focused on improving guest flow, durability, and how the space reads in listing photos. The result is a cohesive short-term rental interior that feels welcoming, works for guests, and helps the property stand out in Austin’s competitive short-term rental market.

Modern western chic living room featuring a brown leather sofa, layered cowhide and jute rugs, tasseled accent chairs, and a cactus plant.
Western-inspired dining space featuring a rattan pendant, long wooden table, cowboy hat accent wall, and kitchen island with black barstools.
Bedroom featuring horse wall art, layered pillows, rattan wall sconces, and wooden nightstand.
Western-inspired bedroom featuring mint green walls, “Howdy” wall art, fur accent stools, and rustic wooden nightstands and wall decor.

The property is now on track to grow from $50,000 to over $180,000 in annual revenue.
